Family pilot
Join the pilot
SteadySteps is not in the App Store yet. Before it is, we want a small number of families to use the two-device app at home for about four weeks and tell us, plainly, what did not work. You keep My Voice free for as long as you want it.
Who it is for
- Families in the United States.
- An autistic child roughly 4 to 12 years old.
- An iPad the child can use and an iPhone for a parent.
- Willing to use SteadySteps for about four weeks, at your own pace, and to tell us what did not work.
- Especially welcome: families waiting for services to start, or in the days between sessions.
What we ask
- Two devices: one iPad for the child, one iPhone for a parent.
- An optional short setup call with a parent, about twenty minutes, if you would like help pairing the devices.
- Feedback in your own words, by email or a short call, about what confused you, what your child ignored, and what you would change.
What we never ask
- No video or photos of your child.
- No diagnosis paperwork, evaluations, or medical records.
- No payment. The pilot is free, and My Voice stays free after it.
- No details about your child in the first email. A nickname is enough inside the app.
Child assent
The child can stop at any time. Nothing in SteadySteps nags, counts streaks, or takes tokens away, and no adult is asked to make a child keep using it.
My Voice is never gated. “Help me,” “I need space,” and “Not sure” stay available whether the token board is on or off, whether a routine is finished or not, and whether the family stays in the pilot or leaves it.
How to join
Send a short email. The link opens a draft in your own email app with a few yes-or-no questions; nothing is submitted by this website, and you decide whether to send it. Please leave out your child's name, diagnosis, and any medical detail.
We reply from the same support address. Email is not emergency or clinical crisis support, and there is no promised response time. Read the privacy information before you pair a device.
Caregiver coaching with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst is planned and is not part of the pilot or available yet. The pilot is about the two-device app only.
